**This position reports to**:
Corporate Communications Manager

**Your responsibilities**:

- Responsible for developing and executing an external communication strategy and messaging that elevates the position of Electrification globally with customers, industry leaders and other key stakeholders.
- Ensure the Electrification communication strategy and plans align with global communication strategies and supports the Division as well as local communication plans.
- Establish quality via KPIs and can build and deliver improvement plans when needed. Has a continuous improvement mindset.
- Has relationships with key industry journalists and 3rd parties important to build and maintain the Company’s reputation.
- Has a robust communications network, seeks to promote and gain knowledge of current practices and innovation.
- Develop thought leadership campaigns that deliver on business priorities.
- Lead a small team and is a member of the Electrification Communications Leadership team.

**Your background**:

- Strong external communications experience, excellent storyteller, writer and editor.
- Coach others to be better communicators. Experience media training executives.
- Team player who thrives by contributing to the success of the team and the business and can influence and work successfully in a matrixed organization
- Advanced knowledge of stakeholder mapping, crisis communications and issues management.
- Ability to convey ideas clearly and concisely to executive leadership and help them do the same to key audiences.
- Coach, motivate and develop team members and adheres to ABB’s HR policies. Encourage best practice sharing.
