Explora Journeys is a vibrant, cosmopolitan, European luxury brand, imagined in the heart of Swiss Hospitality and luxury in Geneva. Leveraging our parent company MSC Group's hundreds of years of maritime expertise, our fleet of six ships (currently in the pipeline) are being built and designed in a totally different and unique way that will transform and redefine the cruise experience, creating a category of its own, appealing to the next generation of luxury travellers.

To support the global commercial objectives and revenue targets, we are looking for an Event & Trade Training Lead.

The Event & Trade Training Lead role is for an experienced professional from within the luxury hospitality\/travel industry, tasked to lead the organization and management of events and trade training to support the Commercial Sales team’s calendar of activities globally.
- A minimum of 10 years of event management and trade training in both Luxury and Hospitality is required;
- Luxury cruise experience is a plus;
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail;
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task;
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with mínimal supervision;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability and professionalism to work well with all levels of the organisation;
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Applications - with elevated understanding of PowerPoint and Excel;
- Strong knowledge of CRM management systems preferably knowledge of SalesForce functionality.
- Identify with the Commercial Team the right events with the right travel partners in attendance and build annual calendar;
- Manage the negotiations, booking, planning in collaboration with Heads of Sales from start to finish;
- Organise and facilitate brand events focused on show casing the brand attributes and accentuating trade partner relationships;
- Develop and maintain engaging online and in person trade training programmes and modules for all levels of industry and brand knowledge;
- Coordinate event and trade training arrangements to ensure effective use of allocated budgets;
- Liaise with the commercial sales and trade marketing teams to ensure agreed upon initiatives have quality control oversight with attention to detail and required deadlines;
- Establish Standard Operating Procedures for events and trade training;
- Implement Key Performance Indicators to evaluate ROI for all events and trade training activities;
- Handle the processing and tracking of POs and invoices for events and trade training activities in coordination with the Trade Marketing Lead through a dually-managed database;
- Oversee the agreement signing and tracking process to ensure timely execution of all event contracts;
- Build relationships with our Heads of Sales, Business Relationship Leaders and Travel Partners;
- Outbound communications to liaise with our travel advisors\/agency owners and Explora Journeys Sales Team;
- Attend events when it is meritied to manage booth set up, coordination of actiivies etc;
- Develop and distribute a brand in a box for all new field sellers who join the commercial sales organization;
- Design creative brand activitations at events that accelerate the awareness of the brand and drive booking initiations;
- Assist in the post event\/ follow up strategy working in collaboration with Heads of Sales and Trade Marketing.
