About This Role
Our Advanced Technologies business unit is one of the highest growth unit in the company. Our mission is to protect our customers from risks associated with activity and behaviour, protect against data loss across endpoints, network, and Cloud accounts, and accelerate the time it takes for companies to respond to security incidents.

We are looking for a successful Sr Sales Specialist who will be the primary sales interface to our customers and prospects in the DACH region. Reporting to the EMEA Head of our Advanced Technologies business unit, this role will work collectively with the Proofpoint sales teams, as well as direct customer engagement in the region, to drive growth in a variety of Advanced Technologies suite of ‘Information Protection’ solutions like Enterprise DLP, Endpoint DLP, CASB, Insider Threat, Isolation, and DLP Transform amongst many other innovative solutions we have in the pipeline.
This role will create a strategy based on the addressable market, align the needed resources to support that strategy (internal teams, channel, distribution), and work cross-functionally to deliver some of the most exciting and innovative solutions in the industry. This quota carrying role will be joining one of the fastest growing regions in the company, in the fastest growing business unit. As such, this role is vital to the success of the region and any candidate should be self-motivated and results oriented.
Responsibilities & Requirements
- Strategic Thinking: Provide a long-term plan for the growth of the region which will guide all monthly and quarterly activities.
- Collaborative: Work with other company resources to implement the strategic plan though an effective sales engagement process.
- Financial Command: Provide actuate and ongoing financial forecasting that meets both short-term and long-term growth goals.
- Customer Engagement: Work closely with customers to ensure all business and technical goals are met, and customer satisfaction goals are achieved. Work with prospects in the region to generate demand, create pipeline, and acquire new customers.
- Culture fit: Help support a culture of accountability and fun. This role will be a critical part of the EMEA-based Proofpoint team.
- Experience developing financial and addressable market plans, forecasting, and CRM discipline.
- Success with demand generation activities, customer meetings and presentations, and overall financial growth of the region.
- Effective channel engagement process driving scale and growth through indirect sales motions.
- Dynamic interpersonal skills supporting effective customer and prospect engagement, internal alignment, and success as the ambassador for the Information Protection business unit in the region.
- Successful track record of growing the DACH enterprise market with leading technological and security solutions.
- Fluent English and German required
