As a member of the mRNA Leadership Team you will develop and commercialize targeted business approaches and operative pricing strategies for mRNA, which facilitates the Business Unit’s (BU) expansion strategy, whilst ensuring that the BU’s strategy consistently delivers sales and profitability growth.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and expand the BU business by optimizing project portfolio, sold margin, and applying innovative business models and approaches to customer.
  • Support, together with the sales and business development teams, technical and operational queries, exploring extensions to our standard service offerings, supporting customer discussions and contract negotiations including alignment with other BU’s to foster an integrated offering strategy.
  • Develop creative business cases and go-to-market strategies for different customer segments in collaboration with key stakeholders to maximize growth opportunities.
  • Actively contribute to the development of the BU strategy and manage agreed commercial strategic plans to deliver planned business growth goals.
  • Secure timely preparation of competitive customers proposals to a high standard.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Key requirements:

  • Thorough understanding of business processes in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in a Contract Development and Manufacturing (CDMO) environment.
  • Excellent understanding and knowledge of Biologics process technologies and the product development cycles of biotech products.
  • Intercultural experience and ability to act in a complex and rapidly changing business environment within a complex matrix structure. Good business acumen, ability to draw from experience and always open to learning.
  • Demonstrable leadership, collaboration and communications skills.
  • Demonstrable experience in driving results – has credibility in front of customers, proven history of meeting deliverables and ability to positively influence and motivate others.
