Account Executive, High-Tech

About the role:
The Account Executive is a field-based, direct sales role responsible for both client retention as well as growth through contract expansion with new products and services and new customer acquisition. You will work with C-level executives to develop and implement an effective, enterprise-wide strategy that maximizes the value delivered by Gartner’s products and services. This position is based in Zurich.
What you will do:
- Support CEOs, Country Managers, Product Leaders and Marketers and their teams to work on their most critical priorities and to reach their company objectives.
- Manage existing accounts (and contract value) with an outcome of increased customer satisfaction and an increase in retention and account growth.
- Acquire new customers in the Swiss and DACH high tech, telecom, technology and service provider, and professional services markets.
What you will need:
- Strong self-motivation, intellect, drive, customer- and people-centricity, and a passion for sales.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, and the ability to develop compelling stories and strategic plans.
- Strong interest to learn and excel in one of the world’s leading sales methodologies.
- Experience in the technology, telecom, or service provider industry in market-facing roles (account manager, specialized sales, consulting, marketing, business development, etc.).
- Fluency in German and English.
