Technical Support Engineer / Ingenieur - SwisslinxAs the premier supplier to our international banking client in Basel, Swisslinx is looking for a Technical Support Engineer with experience of order management systems like FIS Cross-Asset Trading and Risk Platform / Front Arena to join the business-facing Trading Applications Team.Joining a small and diverse team supporting a range of banking applications, the Technical Support Engineer would help resolve issues end-to-end, document resolutions and share knowledge with the First Level Support Team, and contribute to development and work items.ResponsibilitiesResolve incidents reported by business users on banking applications.Coordinate between various teams within the department and internal IT teams within the bank to fix major incidents.Communicate updates to business users.Document issues and resolutions using internal systems.Contribute to long‑term system enhancements either as a developer or a business analyst.Core Skills & ExperienceAt least 3 years' experience working at a financial institution as engineer / technical support in a banking environment.Experience working with order management systems (esp. FIS Cross-Asset Trading and Risk Platform / Front Arena).Hands‑on experience working in an ITIL environment or equivalent knowledge.Experience working with Oracle Database or Microsoft SQL Server and writing SQL queries.Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk).Familiarity with monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., ELK).Fluency in English.Nice to HaveExperience working with OpenLink Findur/Endur or any major trading platform.Experience working with GoldenSource or any major enterprise data management system.Experience working with financial messages (SWIFT, FIX, CTM).Experience working with asset management solutions (Aladdin).Experience with trading venues (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, FXall, Tradeweb, Eurex).Interviews will be conducted via video call; the role is based 100% in Switzerland.BenefitsContract until end of financial year (31 Mar 2026) with likelihood of extension up to five years.Opportunity to work in a diverse and international environment on a long‑term basis.50% working from home.20 days working remotely from abroad per year.Modern office in central Basel with subsidised canteen.Seniority LevelMid‑Senior levelEmployment TypeFull‑timeJob FunctionInformation TechnologyAre you interested to work in an international environment in one of the most important financial companies worldwide?
