Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Business Development and working as part of a team, the Business Development and Marketing Executive will provide support and assistance on the full range of business development, marketing and communication activities of the firm, covering all three offices and some 100 lawyers.

The role can be based in Geneva or Zurich.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing overall support to the BDM team on all their initiatives across the firm;
  • Producing submissions for legal directories and awards, including drafting submissions, collecting referees, coordinating interviews and monitoring / reporting on progress;
  • Assisting with the firm's publications and communications, including drafting content for the firm's website and social media channels, as well as liaising with external distribution agencies;
  • Assisting with oversight of the firm's website;
  • Compiling and editing marketing material, such as expertise brochures, flyers, adverts, invitations and client presentations;
  • Helping support the preparation of bids and answers to RFPs, including the drafting, reviewing and editing of such documents;
  • Contributing to the firm's matters databases;
  • Supporting various BDM projects, including the introduction of a new CRM system;
  • Providing support on events where required.
  • Providing assistance to the BDM team as required.

What we look for:

  • University educated, preferably with a recognised qualification in business, marketing or communications;
  • At least two to three years of business development, marketing or communications experience in a law firm;
  • Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail;
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise and work seamlessly on a daily basis with team members and other firm members in other offices;
  • Very strong Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills. Adobe, Photoshop, WordPress and MailChimp experience would be an asset;
  • Proven ability to work in a team as well as autonomously;
  • Rigorous organisational skills;
  • Experience of participating in a firm's client programme is desirable;
  • Excellent written and oral English mandatory, as well as excellent French or German; Spanish would be an asset;
  • Talented, proactive and motivated to learn and develop.
