Job Title: Business Developer - Oil & Gas
Location: Geneva, Switzerland
About Us: Our client is a prominent trading house specializing in the global trading of petroleum products. With a focus on origination and distribution, they play a crucial role in connecting producers and consumers in the oil and gas industry. They are seeking a talented and experienced Business Developer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the oil and gas industry, strong relationships with producers, suppliers, and buyers, and a proven track record of business development and sales. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive growth, expand their market presence, and contribute to the success of their trading operations.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the oil and gas sector, focusing on the origination and trading of petroleum products.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including producers, refiners, traders, and end-users, to facilitate the sourcing and trading of crude oil, refined products, and other petroleum derivatives.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers and buyers to optimize profitability and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including trading, logistics, and finance, to execute trades, manage risk, and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and geopolitical developments to identify opportunities and risks in the oil and gas market.
- Provide market insights and strategic recommendations to senior management to support decision-making and business planning initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business development or sales within the oil and gas industry, with a focus on trading and origination.
- Deep understanding of the oil and gas value chain, including production, refining, transportation, and distribution.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and closing business deals, meeting sales targets, and driving revenue growth.
- Strong network of contacts within the oil and gas industry, including producers, refiners, traders, and end-users.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
