Under the supervision of the Head of the WPHF Secretariat, the Project Coordinator is responsible for managing the development, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the WHRDs window, including its partnerships with INGOs and other UN Agencies. The Project Coordinator will oversee and guide the WHRDs window unit consultants and staff and budget of the window, build partnerships and provide support in developing resource mobilization strategies, and manage knowledge building efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the WPHF's WHRDs unit and implementation of the Funding Window:


Coordinate the overall Window's work plan development and implementation according to approved Project document of the WHRDs UnitEnsure coordination with relevant stakeholders in the direct logistical support review process, including with UN Women and WPHF Operations colleaguesLead on coordination and management of partnerships with INGOs partners of the Safety Net, including onboarding of new INGO partnerships for the Safety NetSupport the implementation of key recommendations of the WHRDs window workshop and consultation and organize bi-annual workshop and consultations with key stakeholders engaged in the WHRDs windowOversee and provide advice to the Unit team on the evaluation of requests received under both the safety net and direct logistical support for advocacyManage and coordinate risk assessments with relevant partnersReview the preparation of all relevant documentation to be submitted to the Advocacy committee and WPHF Funding Board for funding approvalParticipate in the post-advocacy support meetings with WHRDsUpdate and monitor the window risk matrixEnsure all relevant documents are filed in the Fund's shared drive Manage the monitoring and reporting of the WHRDs window:
Manage the monitoring of mutually agreed results frameworks and performance indicators;Conduct meetings and review quarterly reporting of INGOs partnersReview and provide feedback to INGOs 2023 annual report in close collaboration with the WPHF M&E consultantConsolidate the window unit 2023 annual report in close collaboration with the WPHF M&E consultantProvide updates to the WPHF Funding Board (quarterly meeting) on progress of the windowDocument challenges and best practices of support through the windowFacilitate process for audits and monitor implementation of audit recommendations;Oversee and guide people and budget management for the WHRDs window:
Manage the overall budget of the unit and INGO partnersPrepare cost extensions and no cost extensions accordinglyApprove invoices in Quantum as relevantLeads a team of three people, a P1 staff, two consultants, and perform staff performance reviews and capacity development of staff members.Build partnerships and provide support in developing resource mobilization strategies:
Manage and strengthen partnerships with OHCHR and NGO Working Group on WPSProvide strategic advice to strengthen the window, raise awareness and visibility, including by finding entry points for the window and building connections with the Security Council and Human Rights CouncilContribute to the exchange of information and knowledge products internally and externally of the programme;Provide support on resource mobilization for the WHRDs window to the WPHF Head of Secretariat as requested, including identification of opportunities for resource mobilization and possible areas of cooperationStrengthen partnerships with civil society, UN agencies and foundations working on Human RightsManage knowledge building efforts:
Manage the process of identifying and synthesizing of best practices and lessons learned that are directly linked to the implementation of the programme and contribute to their global dissemination.Provide inputs to WPHF L-Hub capacity building sessions linked to the windowEnsure documentation of the Window implementation process and identify good practices and lessons learned;The incumbent performs other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organisation.Required Skills and Experience:

Education and Certification:


Master's degree or equivalent in Social Sciences, Political Science, Development, Public Administration, Gender is required.A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.A project/programme management certification (such as PMP, PRINCE2, or MSP) would be an added advantage.Experience:
At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in programme management, including programme design, programme coordination, monitoring and evaluation, donor reporting and capacity building;Experience in working in women peace and security or gender and human rights area is required;Experience in setting priorities, budgets, work plans, participating in programme development and programme writing;Experience in leading teams effectively is an asset.Languages:
Fluency in English is required.Working Knowledge of French, Spanish or Arabic is highly desirable.Source:
