Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide pragmatic and businessoriented legal advice and support various stakeholders across many jurisdictions and a broad range of sustainability and governance topics, including on implementation of emerging regulatory requirements.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory developments related to the operations of natural resources, mining, energy, and trading business including responsible sourcing and conduct legal research and analysis on sustainability related laws and regulations, developments, and trends affecting the company.
  • Collaborate with a broad range of internal stakeholders to integrate sustainability principles and regulatory requirements into business practices and decisionmaking processes.
  • Draft and review governance documents, contracts, and other legal documents related to a broad range of sustainability topics (including renewable energy contracts), and procurement.
  • Advise on employmentrelated legal matters, including labour relations.
  • Represent Glencore in negotiations, meetings, and legal proceedings as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Master's degree in law, bar admission in Switzerland or a European country, additional qualifications such as an LL.M. or equivalent preferred.
  • 57 years of relevant postgraduate experience, with proven track record in a sustainability related role.
  • Knowledge of existing and emerging Swiss and/or European sustainability related regulatory regimes and frameworks and demonstrated expertise in sustainability principles, based on a foundation of a strong general commercial or corporate law background with exposure to labour law topics.
  • Experience working in an industrial sector such as mining, energy, or manufacturing is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced, multinational environment and collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Native proficiency or fluent in at least two of French, Spanish or German, with fluent English
