What You Will Do | Responsibilities
This role is responsible for providing Legal and Compliance support to Reata's growing operations in the EMEAC region.

The role is remote in Switzerland / in Zug and reports to the VP, Head of Legal, Compliance, and QSF Operations, also based in Zug and is an integral member of Reata's global Legal and Compliance team.

This role will have primary responsibility for providing Legal and Compliance support for Reata's Global Supply Chain operations at Reata Swiss and ex-US clinical operations, as well as for Reata's GDPR compliance initiatives.

Additional or different areas may be assigned based on business needs.

  • Legal & Compliance Lead for (i) Reata's Global Supply Chain operations at Reata Swiss, (ii) Reata's exUS clinical operations, and (iii) Reata's GDPR compliance
  • Provide effective, businessfocused, accurate, and timely legal services and counsel for the assigned business units, and actively drive progress toward business goals in assigned areas
  • Constructively and collaboratively work crossfunctionally with colleagues in the EMEAC region, the US, and elsewhere as needed
  • Lead risk assessments and identify, document, and prioritize key risk areas in assigned areas of responsibility; anticipate and mitigate key risk areas
  • Define business training needs in assigned areas and ensure appropriate training is provided
  • Influence business decisions with patient care at the center of the business conduct
  • Ensure compliance across all areas to maintain the highest standards of patients focused ethical conduct in line with our values
  • Actively lead Reata's GDPR compliance initiatives, including internal governance meetings as requested, in cooperation and coordination with Reata's DPO

What We Are Looking For | Qualifications**- 6+ years of relevant experience as a commercial attorney in an international law firm and/or other significant relevant in-house experience

  • Experience as legal counsel for a pharmaceutical or medical device company supporting Supply Chain and Clinical operations strongly preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of GDPR preferably from an inhouse perspective
  • Must be able to speak and write fluently in English; additional languages are a plus
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills
  • Must work confidently, and proactively with a high level of independence
  • Excellent judgment and the ability to adapt to a changing environment
  • Flexibility, specifically with regard to changing job duties
