The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing and maintaining electrical systems and software for our Sealed Air Cryovac packaging machines, ensuring high standards, compliance with requirements, and relevant guidelines and standards.

Your main tasks:

  • Design and develop electrical systems for packaging machinery
  • Create and maintain technical documentation such as wiring diagrams, parts lists (SAP), operation and test instructions, and performance level assessments to ensure machine safety
  • Product lifecycle management: Assess new components, create retrofit kits, and modifications
  • Programming of spare parts, software migrations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into machine designs
  • Assist in prototype assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems
  • Provide technical support for the Sealed Air site for related machinery
  • Occasional customer visits (support, field tests, etc.)
Your profile:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in automation/electrical engineering
  • Knowledge of CAD software for electrical design (e.g., eXs e-cad is advantageous)
  • Basic understanding of PLC programming
Skills and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated experience in electrical design in the machinery or industrial automation industry
  • Comprehensive understanding of electrical components and systems, including PLC, motors, and sensors
  • Familiarity with current standards (EN, ISO) and guidelines is advantageous
  • PLC programming knowledge (structured text, Allen Bradley, Siemens) is beneficial
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Languages: German and English (English: corporate language)
  • Communication skills, resilience, teamwork, flexibility, taking responsibility
