Root D4, CH, 6039Novocure is a global publicly-traded commercial-stage oncology company developing a profoundly different cancer treatment therapy called tumor treating fields (TTFields) for patients with solid tumors.
TTFields therapy is a non-invasive, novel, antimitotic treatment modality which utilizes proprietary technology attempting to slow or reverse tumor progression by inducing tumor cell death.
Novocure's commercialized product, Optune, is approved for the treatment of adult patients with glioblastoma (GBM) in the USA, Europe and Israel.
Novocure has ongoing or completed clinical trials and is further expanding its efforts into several other solid tumor indications - non-small cell lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, ovarian cancer and other types of solid cancers.
For our Clinical Development team in Switzerland we are looking to hire a:Associate Director, Clinical Development
As Associate Director, Clinical Development, you will be responsible for leading activities related to the clinical development of our medical device used to treat malignancies.
The role will involve an analytical review of data and the result of reports, protocols, and other tools used internally and externally.
Your primary goal will be to help successfully advance TTFields as a modality in cancer therapy, in collaboration with both internal and external cross-functional partners.
Your Responsibilities- Supervise external and internal stakeholders
- Lead projects and act as a resource for best practice in clinical development
- Perform critical evaluation of literature, standard practices and internal data to support the development of new clinical studies
- Analyze technical and clinical data generated using clinical trials for the purpose of creating publications, guidelines and tools.
- Provide medical support for regulatory submissions globally as needed.
- Support the Clinical Development team members, as required.
- Support to other teams on clinical development topics, as required.
- MD or MD/PhD required, with at least 4 years experience working in pharmaceutical/biotech companies, or clinical oncology experience
- You have an understanding of clinical development process, including matrix multidisciplinary team, regulatory submission and data analysis
- Clinical oncology experience is a plus
- You demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the willingness to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
- You have good presentation skills with capability to present to varied audiences
- Your communication skills are very advanced in both speaking and writing and you have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- You are able easily adapt to changing work environments, multitask and triage as needed.
