Start Date: August 2023Duration: 4 - 5 months, with the possibility of an extensionUtilization: 100%Location: Zurich, HybridWe are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel for a multinational pharmaceutical company based in Switzerland. The ideal candidate will provide daily legal counsel, draft, and negotiate agreements in line with various business development activities. The successful candidate will oversee cases handled by external law firms and develop strategies in close collaboration with the Head Counsel.Key tasks/responsibilities:Offering daily legal counseling, drafting, and negotiating agreements in line with business development activities; this includes but is not limited to manufacturing or transitional service agreements, technology transfer agreements, trial agreements, etc.Serving as the primary legal point of contact and acting as a liaison between diverse stakeholders, providing advice and managing disputesScreening for contractual risks and managing disputes involving third parties; ensuring a balanced approach to legal risks and business opportunities through effective risk managementMaking transaction decisions and developing strategies in close collaboration with the Head CounselCoordinating and overseeing cases handled by external law firmsExperience & Qualifications:Qualified lawyer in at least one European jurisdiction, with at least ten years of post-qualification experienceAt least five years of experience within the Life Sciences industry Strong knowledge in Civil law and contract lawExcellent drafting skills, communication skills, and attention to detailFluent in English, both written and verbal; any further language is an assetHighly organized and efficient, with the ability to drive projects and deliver against set timelinePlease note that we can only accept applications from candidates who are based in Switzerland, with a valid Swiss work permit.
