Role Description

The Engineer Intern supports the engineering team in designing, testing, and implementing technical projects that improve product performance, efficiency, and reliability. This position provides hands-on exposure to real-world engineering processes, offering valuable experience in technical design, analysis, and project coordination. Under the guidance of senior engineers, the intern will assist in research, documentation, prototype development, and process optimization. The ideal candidate is a motivated and detail-oriented student or recent graduate who demonstrates curiosity, teamwork, and a strong desire to learn. This internship serves as an excellent foundation for a professional career in engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers in the design, development, and testing of components, products, or systems according to project requirements.
  • Support the creation of technical drawings, 3D models, and documentation using CAD or other engineering software.
  • Conduct research, data collection, and basic analysis to support design decisions and technical reports.
  • Participate in prototype fabrication, assembly, and testing to evaluate performance and quality.
  • Help identify and troubleshoot design or process issues, proposing solutions under supervision.
  • Assist in preparing test reports, design documentation, and engineering change requests.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain.
  • Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Participate in team meetings, presentations, and project reviews, contributing ideas and learning from experienced professionals.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, or related discipline).
  • Strong academic understanding of engineering fundamentals, mathematics, and applied sciences.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) and basic knowledge of simulation or analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with project management tools is a plus.
  • High attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to follow technical instructions.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and adaptable with a positive attitude toward challenges.
  • Awareness of safety and quality standards in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken; additional language skills are an advantage.
