Role Description

The Engineer Intern supports the engineering team in designing, testing, and implementing technical solutions across various stages of project development. This role provides hands-on exposure to practical engineering processes, tools, and methodologies. Working under the supervision of experienced engineers, the intern will contribute to design analysis, data collection, documentation, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to apply academic knowledge to real-world challenges. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical and professional skills while gaining industry-relevant experience in a collaborative and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers in the design, testing, and validation of components, systems, or products.
  • Support the preparation of technical drawings, 3D models, and documentation using CAD or related software tools.
  • Conduct research, collect data, and perform calculations to support engineering studies and project planning.
  • Participate in prototype development, assembly, and performance testing under supervision.
  • Help identify, analyze, and troubleshoot design or process issues, proposing improvements as appropriate.
  • Prepare engineering reports, documentation, and project summaries for internal and external use.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain.
  • Support implementation of continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, safety guidelines, and quality control procedures.
  • Participate in technical meetings, design reviews, and presentations to enhance professional development.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, or related discipline).
  • Foundational understanding of core engineering principles and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with design or simulation software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, MATLAB, or similar tools.
  • Strong data analysis, documentation, and technical writing abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with project management tools is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions and collaborate effectively.
  • High attention to detail, organizational ability, and time management.
  • Enthusiastic about learning, with a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Awareness of safety practices and ethical standards in an engineering environment.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage.
