Associate Product Manager Liquid Handling

Männedorf, Switzerland

Your contribution

In this role, you will support the Hardware Product Management lead for one of Tecan's Liquid Handling platforms, helping to define market and customer needs that guide new product development in laboratory automation. You will play a key part in creating value for Tecan's customers and shareholders by delivering to the highest standards and staying close to customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Executing market research activities in collaboration with the Senior Product Manager Liquid Handling
• Contributing positively to a team environment and working effectively in a cross-functional role to achieve goals
• Maintaining a professional profile to promote Tecan products and initiatives externally
• Supporting the development of strategy for relevant product areas
• Creating and supporting annual marketing plans for responsible product lines
• Managing assigned products and projects, and providing input for product support budgeting
• Maintaining product-specific KPIs and monitoring pricing in various markets to maximize profitability
• Managing the life cycle of the solution/product portfolio from idea proposal to implementation, launch, growth, and phase-out
• Supporting product development teams with reviews of planning, implementation, and test plans

Your background

• You have a degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a similar technical or scientific field, or equivalent experience
• You communicate effectively in English; German and other languages are an advantage
• You are customer-focused, a strong team player, and have excellent communication skills
• You think analytically and work with accuracy and purpose
• You are ready to travel as needed and enjoy working in a dynamic, cross-functional environment
• Experience with sales and marketing, regulatory processes (such as IVDD, FDA, QSR, CFR 21, GMP, GLP), or working with customers to collect requirements is highly valued
• Familiarity with applications in the life science industry, liquid handling robotic software, or programming experience is a plus
• You are motivated to lead, influence, and contribute to the success of your team and products
