THE ROLE
We are seeking a Legal Counsel for a multinational food and beverages company in Switzerland. This role is suited for a legal professional with strong experience in labor and employment law, particularly within international corporate environments. The successful candidate will partner closely with global HR and Legal teams to support workforce-related legal matters across multiple jurisdictions. This position requires a sound understanding of Swiss and European employment regulations and fluency in both English and French.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Advise on a wide range of employment law issues across European jurisdictions, providing strategic legal input on day-to-day and complex mattersSupport HR in navigating sensitive workforce matters, including workplace conduct, restructurings, and dispute resolution strategies.Review and tailor employment contracts, templates, and HR policies to reflect local legal requirements and evolving compliance standards.Contribute to the development and rollout of internal guidelines for employment practices, ensuring legal alignment with corporate policy across multiple regions.Provide legal support on employee separation processes, including negotiated exits and collective processes, as applicable.Monitor regulatory developments in labor and employment law and translate them into actionable advice and internal training for stakeholders.
YOUR PROFILE
Law degree from a recognized university; bar admission is strongly preferred.Minimum of 8 years of experience in labor and employment law, gained in-house or at a reputable law firmProven ability to work across jurisdictions and collaborate with international stakeholders in complex environments.Excellent communication and advisory skills; fluent in English and French (written and spoken); German is an asset.Prior exposure to the food and beverages or FMCG sector is advantageous but not essential.HOW TO APPLY
