We are looking for a Corporate Funding Treasury Specialist who will be focusing on Mergers & Acquisitions (“M&A”) from a Treasury perspective and will also be supporting or leading other projects and transactions within the Corporate Funding team, mainly in relation to external funding and the management of ABB employee equity plans. Given the focus of the role on M&A transactions, excellent project management skills, the ability to adhere to strict deadlines, strong communication and stakeholder management skills, as well as a drive for action will be key success factors. You should also have a very good understanding of capital markets, especially debt and derivative instruments. You will be part of the Corporate Treasury organization, reporting to the Head of Corporate Funding. You will work in close cooperation with the M&A teams, Division CFOs, Country Finance Managers and Country Holding Officers, Treasury Business Partners, Cash Management and Financial Risk Management teams, as well as ABB colleagues in other functions such as Tax, Legal and Finance.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Lead the Treasury workstream in M&A transactions: you will act as Project Lead and coordinator for the various Treasury workstreams (Corporate Funding, Cash Management, Financial Markets Risk Management and Export and Trade Finance) through all stages of M&A transactions from due diligence to execution.
- You will be responsible for the due diligence, including risk identification and mitigation for all Treasury and corporate finance aspects, coordinating and supporting local teams where applicable.
- You will support Corporate M&A and Tax in structuring transactions.
- You will plan and coordinate the deal execution, including the separation and integration of banking and other financial services, including cash management infrastructure, financing and credit facilities.
- You will plan and coordinate the closing, funding and settlement process.
- You will support Corporate M&A and Treasury in post-closing activities.
- External Funding: the Corporate Funding team is responsible for assessing external funding requirements, preparing and executing capital markets transactions, negotiating Group bank financings and monitoring liability management opportunities.
- The team also prepares and executes large share buybacks programs on SIX Swiss Exchange and coordinates the ABB external dividend payment process including the Dividend Access Facility (DAF) for Swedish shareholders.
- Employee Equity Plans: the Corporate Funding team supports Group HR with the day-to-day management of ABB’s share incentive plans and acts as custodian for ABB treasury shares, instructing share transfers and deliveries.
- You may support other Corporate Funding activities and Group Treasury initiatives where required.

**Your background**:

- University level education with finance background.
- Minimum 10 years of work experience in the Treasury function of a large multinational company.
- Very good understanding of financial markets as well as cash and financial risk management processes.
- Good understanding of M&A and Treasury relevant accounting topics and financial statements.
- Excellent analytical and business acumen.
- Proven project management experience with ability to effectively adhere to strict deadlines.
- Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- Team player.
- Excellent oral and written English skills, additional language skills are a plus.
- Experience in working with global teams, with an understanding for, and respect of, diversity and cultural differences and other diversity factors.
