Caterpillar Inc. has an excellent opportunity to join the senior leadership team of the world’s largest construction equipment organization as a **Director of Strategy & Finance. **This is a senior leadership role on the Construction Industries Finance team, directly supporting the worldwide sales and marketing organization (Global Construction Industries - GCI) by providing guidance, insights and strategic recommendations to the Senior Vice President of the GCI organization. In addition to the strategic finance support, this role has global ownership for the Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP) process for the entire Construction Industries segment. This process integrates our worldwide sales and operations plans and provides meaningful insight into the industries we support; our customers’ equipment and support need to make recommendations to the Construction Industries Senior leadership team.

**JOB PURPOSE**:
To provide management guidance to the execution of the company strategy with emphasis on using the O&E Model (Operating & Executing Model) to drive decision-making that creates improvement in company performance. Provides leadership to the most impactful projects and corporate processes that pertain to positioning Caterpillar for long-term success.

**JOB DUTIES**:

- Primary business partner to Global Construction Industries and Construction Industries leadership teams. Key member of the leadership team providing partnership in establishing and executing annual planning with the GCI and Segment leadership teams (including S&OP, share reporting & analysis, Price/Value analysis, and demand management)
- Global process owner for the Construction Industries Sale and Operations Planning process. Must lead the process monthly, provide insights and recommendations to Senior leadership.
- Operate in a collaborative and effective manner as part of two senior leadership teams (Finance & Sales)
- to drive appropriate alignment and understanding of key requirements & outcomes.
- Working closely with cross-functional and segment management teams, bringing timely and useful insight and analytical support to support strategic business decisions.
- Drive and lead solutions to business problems, collaborating, and coordinating with a range of internal stakeholders to make recommendations on a wide range of business issues.
- Develop rigorous, fact based, quantitative analysis to support recommendations, ensuring strategic and financial soundness and alignment across the matrix for any recommendations.
- Communicate recommendations to senior management, other executives, functional, or regional staff and management in a clear, concise and impactful way.
- Manage broad communication plans to communicate financial results clearly, compellingly and with appropriate levels of insight and actions to internal and external stakeholders.
- Leading a portfolio of the most impactful projects and corporate processes that pertain to positioning Caterpillar for long-term success.
- Effectively build and develop a high performing team ensuring proper talent development, succession planning, performance management and collaborative work climate
