**The department**
Ahold Delhaize operates a centralized Treasury in Geneva, Switzerland for the global management of:

- Cash and liquidity.
- Foreign exchange and interest rate risks.
- Debt and equity capital markets.
- Intercompany funding.
- Relationships with banks and credit rating agencies.
- Structuring and procurement of global insurance programmes.

**The job**
Reporting to the Group Treasurer, your main responsibilities will be to:

- develop a global insurance strategy and policies to minimize the Total Cost of Risk.
- liaise with internal and external stakeholders to secure the annual placement of the global insurance programs of the group (property and casualty, D&O, cyber and other placements).
- oversee how the claims process is managed on a local level and responsible for managing the large claims.
- secure an efficient use of the company’s insurance captives and ensure compliance with local regulations.
- manage and develop a small team.
- prepare and manage insurance related global budgets.
- coordinate mergers & acquisitions due diligence and insurance integration.

**Requirements**:
To be successful in this role, you bring the following:

- A master’s degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration.
- 10+ years of experience in an insurance related role preferably within a corporate environment.
- Experience with managing and growing captive insurance structures.
- Capacity to manage complex projects and multiple competing priorities and are keen to work in a dynamic, international, and cross-functional environment.
- A familiarity with the U.S. markets is a plus.
- Experience dealing in geographically diverse areas.
- Highly respected in the insurance professional services marketplace
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage effectively in a decentralized operating environment.
- Strong relationship building skills and adept at managing through cultural transition.
- Open to international travel.
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
