At ECOFACT, we provide our clients with the knowledge required to navigate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risks and opportunities. We work primarily for banks, insurers, institutional investors, and international standard-setters. By combining market-leading research with unique advisory experience, we strive to be a catalyst in the transition towards a sustainable economy. We help clients to understand regulatory developments pertaining to sustainable finance and corporate responsibility, and assist them in building ESG risk frameworks, as well as offering due diligence and risk management solutions. Founded in 1998 as a spin-off from a leading Swiss bank, ECOFACT is a fully independent firm based in Zurich.
We are looking for a Sales & Business Development Lead to join our Client Solutions Team in Zurich as soon as possible.
Tasks
**In this role you will**:
- manage ECOFACT’s business development efforts and sales pipeline;
- present our product offerings to prospective clients and potential partners;
- coordinate ECOFACT’s Policy Outlook trial accounts, set up demos of the tool and engage with prospective users;
- prepare client proposals;
- coordinate the preparation of company and client presentations, as well as marketing material;
- engage with prospects, partners, and clients on topics related to sustainable finance, corporate responsibility, and the business and human rights agenda, to identify market trends and new business opportunities;
- organize and moderate internal and external events, conferences, and webinars;
- oversee our marketing activities and social media campaigns; and
- contribute to the development of our long-term growth strategy.
**Requirements**:
**You are**:
- fluent in English (spoken and written); and
- a self-starter, highly motivated, flexible, and reliable.
**You must have**:
- at least 2 years of relevant client relationship management, sales and/or business development experience in the financial industry;
- excellent interpersonal and persuasion skills;
- the ability to take the initiative, work independently, and manage priorities;
- strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
- strong document drafting and PowerPoint skills; and
- a valid Swiss work permit (or are an EU national).
**You earn extra points if you are/have**:
- a native German speaker;
- a knowledge of other languages;
- a sound understanding of sustainable finance, corporate responsibility, and/or the business and human rights agenda, including the regulatory aspects;
- an existing network of contacts at financial institutions in Switzerland (Europe a plus) and access to relevant decision makers; and
- an easy-going personality and an entrepreneurial spirit.
