Global Store Design Communications

In this role, you will play an integral role in the Store Design / Visual Merchandising (SD/VM) department, as the perfect blend between good communication, accurate processes and support for strategic initiatives. Across the SD/VM team, regional and community partners, and at the larger company level, the role measures and reports SD/VM KPIs, highlights all SD/VM activities, and actively promotes the department’s progress. Establishing the appropriate processes and guidelines ensures smooth working methods between Global and Regional SD/VM communities and various company departments. Finally, the role supports the SD/VM Director in developing and implementing strategic SD/VM initiatives, and is accountable for specific transverse projects that are essential to the continued development and evolution of the SD/VM concept.
**Your Responsibilities**
**Main Objectives**:
- Follow up regularly with Global and Regional teams about New Store Design project advancement. Report key milestones and status to Board members
- Communicate effectively and actively promote SD/VM department highlights and success
- Support the SD/VM Director in preparing various team meetings and workshops; ensure that all relevant stakeholders stay informed of SD/VM initiatives
- Define and publish relevant SD/VM process guidelines, tools and working methods. Ensure the smooth and successful transition of Global process guidelines to Regions/various Global departments, stimulate process adoption and make sure that Roles & Responsibilities are respected. Follow up and support the implementation and integration of SD/VM processes and working methods in Store Lifecycle Tool - Digital Store opening management software
- Lead the implementation and follow up of transverse strategic initiatives (e.g. Sustainability in SD/VM)
**Communication**:
- With the SD/VM Director, participate in building the SD/VM community and streamline internal and external communication
- Promote constructive and healthy communication within the SD/VM team by creating the agenda for team meetings, Global/Regional SD/VM workshops and team sessions. Stimulate the sharing and spread of information (SD/VM Team meetings)
- Identify deployment strategy milestones for projects
- Provide targeted and concise progress updates to different teams about the new concept projects being implemented and milestones reached, and make information available
- Verify with different departments (Procurement, Finance and SD/VM) and create presentations for the Board of Directors showing the progress of the selected topics related to New Store Design (roll-out status, new developments...). Highlight main achievements and any strategic issues or challenges that need to be tackled
- Guide Global Sales Controlling department to incorporate SD/VM concept updates in the annual distribution analysis
- Systematically promote and raise awareness of SD/VM achievements
- Brainstorm, design, organise, create, and distribute the annual internal Insights newsletter, to highlight achievements and best practices in our SD/VM community in an engaging, cool, and original way
- Be the “go to person in the know” for any questions related to the Global SD/VM team
- Optimise the reach of relevant information and guidelines (SD/VM Share drive/Teams)
**Planning & Process**:
- Be accountable for the definition, creation and implementation of all SD processes
- Define and lead the integration of Store Design processes within the Store Lifecycle Tool
- Analyse the effectiveness of the processes and workflows, and identify and lead all potential opportunities for improvement
- Ensure all the working methods are respected and followed (how we work as a team, how we work as the SD/VM community and how we work with other departments)
- Establish and oversee a yearly calendar for all key team activities and deliverables in line with the roadmap
- Build, plan, coordinate and execute team activities, encouraging renewal and innovation (Global & Regional workshops twice per year; Global SDVM team building sessions and team market visits according to the needs)
- Regularly track the budget spent throughout the year and assist in its consolidation. Have a full understanding and visibility of where we stand at the end of each quarter
**Strategic developments and/or specific projects**:
- Work closely with the SD/VM Director to build, develop, lead and implement the SD/VM strategy (roadmap definition, team development, budget planning)
- Define and lead from brief to full execution and implementation specific transverse projects that are essential for the further development and evolution of the SD/VM concept.
