Are you a business leader that wants to make an impact? Cultural Care Au Pair is looking for a **Business Development Director **to drive growth in 3-5 markets to help us achieve our goal of being the largest and most trusted au pair program in the world.

We build global families by bringing together au pairs with American host families—providing meaningful childcare for families, an unforgettable year in the U.S.A. for au pairs, and a culturally enriching experience for both parties.
We are looking for an entrepreneurial, assertive, and growth-oriented leader to join our central management team. You will be based in Zurich, Switzerland but travel frequently. As Business Development Director, you will be responsible for the continued development of each of your assigned markets to recruit au pairs onto our program.
The growth and change you drive will have a positive impact. You will help grow our community of global families that can change the world through the au pair program. The role reports to the Executive Vice President, also based in Zurich, Switzerland.
What you'll do:
- Set the strategy and defend a budget for each of your markets, analyzing each markets’ local needs and adapting accordingly, taking full responsibility for P&L.
- Build partnerships in local communities and drive marketing activities, both in digital and off-line channels, to expand our brand awareness and result in direct sales to achieve short
- and long-term goals.
- Recruit and hire strong staff and managers to join your teams, followed by ongoing coaching, training and motivation to drive results and overall growth and development of your people.
- Ensure excellence in operations, customer service and support, taking action to improve the customer experience.
- Collaborate cross-teams to drive central initiatives and changed behavior to grow and improve Cultural Care Au Pair.
- This includes working closely with Cultural Care US which is responsible for host family recruitment and the experience of our au pairs while they are on the program.

- You have a strong track record of driving growth. You can see the big picture, have strong business acumen and commercial instinct which will allow you to plan for the long-term development of your markets.
- You understand the needs of American host families and will use that knowledge in your growth strategy and to improve the overall au pair recruitment and preparation.
- You have experience opening new offices. As you develop your region, opening new offices may be required to maximize growth opportunities. You know what it takes to build up an office from scratch, growing a team, laying the foundation of our culture, and setting the team up to be independent.
- You care with all of your heart about the customer experience. You can put yourself in the participant's place and look for compassionate solutions that prioritize the individual over the process. And you are proactive to take action to make a change that is in the best interest of our participants, both au pairs and host families.
- You are a natural connector and can quickly build trust and solid relationships. You can do this internally, cross-department and externally with local embassies and other partners to foster continued growth of the au pair program.
- Professional Requirements_
- 5+ years of work experience with at least 2 years of leadership experience, preferably in business development, sales and/or marketing.
- Experience with J-1 exchange visitor visa processes
- Relevant university degree
- Fluent in English. Other languages are a plus.
- Experience working with Salesforce, Tellus, and/or Taurus helpful.
