**Your role and responsibilities**:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Category Manager for Air Freight to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for developing and implementing global category strategies for air freight services, ensuring cost-effective and efficient transportation solutions. This role involves managing supplier relationships, driving performance improvements, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to align business objectives. Your strategic thinking, analytical skills, and deep understanding of the global air freight market will be crucial in optimizing our supply chain operations and contributing to the company's success. The work model for the role is: hybrid ; #LI-Hybrid The role is contributing to the Motion globally. You will report to the Head of Trade & Logistics, Motion Business Area. You will be mainly accountable for: - Developing and executing strategies: Creating and implementing global category strategies for air freight, ensuring alignment with business goals. - Supplier management: Overseeing supplier relationships, including contract negotiations, performance management, and continuous improvement. - Market analysis and cost savings: Analyzing market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and service improvements. - Collaboration and compliance: Working with internal stakeholders to align strategies, leading cross-functional teams, managing the RFQ process, and ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.

**Qualifications for the role**:

- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Category Management, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management, with a focus on air freight.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and drive performance improvements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Knowledge of global air freight market trends and regulations.
- Fluent English language skills.
