Do you value partnership? Are you solid as a rock when juggling multiple projects? Are you an expert negotiator and enjoy problem solving? We're looking for a highly motivated and skilled Category & Sourcing Manager to join our Category & Sourcing team for Technology (Hardware).

The IT Hardware Category & Sourcing team is responsible for the category delivery across all category scorecard KPIs. Responsibilities include the development and execution of a category management strategy that align with the strategy, objectives and Operating Plan of Group Technology and UBS overall. A Category & Sourcing Manager IT Hardware is also responsible for developing, structuring and executing Go-to-Market / Deal strategies for high scale and volume IT Hardware deals for UBS globally, with the objective to drive value and optimize costs.

We are looking for someone like you to:

• be responsible for the Category delivery across all of the Category Scorecard dimensions
• contribute to the development of the IT Hardware Category Strategy by providing insights and recommendations
• prepare and manage complex negotiations where a new vendor is being considered, or engagements with existing challenging vendors; facilitate elements of complex deals such as: RFx structure, Base Case, Business Case, Commercialization Model, Solution / Proposal Evaluation, Transition, Transformation, & Termination Planning, Deal structuring and Execution
• define commercial constructs to motivate vendor behaviors that are aligned to UBS strategy and goals
• act as a trusted advisor for all internal business partners, with a strong emphasis on concise and accurate communication, both written and verbal
• prepare reports on category insights and provide strategic recommendations to the Category Lead and/or senior management
• be accountable as the Vendor Relation Manager for selected third-party technology providers

Your team
You will be working in the IT Category & Sourcing team directly reporting to the Head of IT Hardware Category & Sourcing. The team is part of the Supply Chain organization, a function in Group Real Estate and Supply Chain (GRESC). Supply Chain was created to enhance value identification and delivery within GRESC, supporting UBS with its third party vendor management as well as with its Real Estate and Outsourcing footprint.

Your expertise

• 10+ relevant experience as a Sourcing or Category Manager or in a similar role
• expert in deal negotiations for large and complex services and experienced in outsourcing methodologies, contracts and commercial models
• experience of working with large service providers and technology vendors
• excellent stakeholder management skills
• detail orientated with structured, organized, methodical planning skills
• eager to learn, highly driven and motivated with a can–do attitude
• initiative and drive as well as the ability to work independently
• collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with staff from a diverse mix of backgrounds and cultures
