Location: Global As Information Systems Operational Effectiveness Lead for our Business Area Motion, you lead our activities to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness of overall Motion information systems (IS) and manage enabling capabilities for IS. This includes Business IS strategy definition, governance, risk & compliance, project portfolio management, performance management, process maturity & effectiveness management, asset management. You lead and drive a multinational team of IS specialists and provide leadership, vision and direction to the Business IS Operational Effectiveness team to ensure the contribution to the strategic objectives. The role will report to the Motion Business Area CIO.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Strategy. Partnering with the Head of Motion IS and relevant stakeholders to define the vision, direction and key objectives for Motion Information systems. Facilitating the development of the overall IS strategy based on businesses strategies and ABB Corporate IS strategy.
- Portfolio management. Enabling portfolio owners across the team to plan, coordinate and deliver value through their project portfolio in line with business strategy, architecture and existing processes.
- Project management office. Ensuring project policies, methodologies are fit for purpose and applied cross Motion organization to consistently deliver highest level of performance. Develop and grow IS project management community across Motion, as well as channel to secure project managers.
- Governance. Developing effective Motion IS governance and facilitating regular meetings and workshops for Motion IS management team.
- Compliance & risk management. Developing and maintaining Business IS compliance definition in alignment with external and internal requirements, standards, and rules. Identifying key risks and ensuring implementation of relevant mitigation strategies. Fostering a culture of compliance.
- Software asset management. Ensuring compliant and optimized software portfolio across Motion IS.
- Effectiveness. Leading the establishment of KPIs to measure IS performance effectiveness, provide transparency on all aspects of IS performance to support Business IS leadership in management and decision-making. Drive a culture of performance across Motion IS.
- Continuous improvement. Continuously improving specific Business IS ways of working, policies, procedures, processes, and methodologies by identifying opportunities for improvement or need for transformation.
- Communication. Enable business IS communications in close collaboration with business communication team.
- Sustainability. Ensuring that IS processes execution is in line with social responsibility, environmental and technical standards, and legislation.
- Stakeholder management. Partner with Motion IS team, business and core IS stakeholders to cover Motion needs and requirements.
- Budget. Managing assigned budget effectively and delivering activities within agreed schedules and costs and ensuring Business IS governance required to manage the IS function and confirms adherence to the IS strategic direction.

**Your background**:

- Degree in IT or related field.
- 10+ years of IT experience, specifically in IS Strategy, IS processes, IS sourcing and vendor management, including 5+ years of global IS management/leadership experience.
- Experience in delivering business value through strategy and portfolio management
- Proven leadership to manage and develop a functional network and partner with stakeholders across IS and the business.
- Proven experience in sustaining and driving improvement in the Governance, Risk and Compliance areas.
- Collaborative mindset

- Fluent in English language, both written and verbal.
