**Head of Internal Communications, Process Automation**:

In this role you will be responsible to define and execute the internal communications strategy and employee engagement for the Process Automation (PA) Business Area at a global level. Ensure alignment with PA and the wider ABB business strategy and direction, driving reach and impact, and helping to cultivate two-way engagement between employees and senior leadership.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Establish an integrated internal communications strategy aligned with overall ABB purpose, PA business objectives and direction
- Ensure organizational initiatives, priorities and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders, define relevant metrics to measure success
- Break down complex matters to better inform and engage employees
- Keep stakeholders including leadership and communications teams up to date on relevant key initiatives and / or changes
- Manage resources and budget efficiently and effectively
- Support managers and senior executives to develop and execute their communications plans
- Amplify key topics, focus areas and leadership messages effectively and in a timely manner
- Ensure internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums and aligned with the overall PA objectives and goals including consistency with external communication messages
- Adapt communication strategy and tactics incorporating feedback from stakeholders and analytics of internal communications channels
- Support internal communication response to crisis situations which affect organizational perception and reputation

**Your background**:

- University level education and preferably PhD in Marketing and Communications and Journalism
- 15+ years of relevant, preferably internal communications experience in a technical / industrial sector in a large multi-national organization with at least 4+ years in a senior role involving engagement with senior leadership and driving global projects.
- Ability to mix strategic and creative strengths to deliver impactful communication, programs and campaigns.
- Sound project management skills to implement organization-wide programs and initiatives.
- Working with multiple business and functional stakeholders to drive strategic and relevant internal communications programs, ideally from within ABB.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with ability to develop content for a wide range of communications channels.
- Journalistic ability to source stories from employees and other parts of the organization.
- Will have worked with managers and leadership to drive employee engagement through a sound communications plan, leveraging various communication platforms including Yammer and Sitefinity.
- Experienced in change management, innovation and use of new trends in communication such as Smart Brevity.
- Proven experience of measuring efficiency of internal communications and employee engagement for continuous improvement.
