In this role you be responsible to define and execute the internal communications strategy and employee engagement for the Process Automation (PA) Business Area at a global level, ensuring alignment with PA and the wider ABB business strategy and direction, driving reach and impact, and helping to cultivate two-way engagement. You will work with communications colleagues and key stakeholders across the Group, Divisions and functions to develop an effective content and channel strategy that ensures effective leadership and manager engagement, align employees with overall business goals and improve employee experience. You will play a key role in change management and driving key initiatives across the business area and supporting Divisions when relevant. Measures will include how well and effective employees are engaged and understand the organization purpose and direction while creating an organization that employees feel proud to work for. The location for the role is flexible globally with a preference for India.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Establish an integrated internal communications strategy aligned with overall PA business objectives, purpose and direction
- Ensure organizational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders- Keep stakeholders including leadership and communications teams as relevant of key initiatives and / or changes
- Manage resources and budget
- Repurpose content to better inform and engage employees
- Support managers and senior executives to develop and execute their communications plans
- Amplify key topics, focus areas and leadership messages effectively and in a timely manner
- Ensure internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums and aligned with the overall PA objectives and goals including consistency with external communication messages
- Adapt communication strategy and tactics incorporating feedback from stakeholders and analytics of internal communications channels
- Support internal communication response to crisis situations which affect organizational perception and reputation

**Your background**:

- Degree in Marketing and Communications or Journalism
- 12 + years of communications experience in B2B environment (prefer technical / industrial environment) or a large multi-located international organization
- At least 4 years in a senior internal communications role involving engagement with senior leadership and driving global projects
- Ability to mix strategic and creative strengths to deliver impactful communication, programs and campaigns
- Sound project management skills to implement organization-wide programs and initiatives
- Experience of working with multiple business and functional stakeholders including communications teams across the organization to drive strategic and relevant internal communications programs
- Proven ability to craft and deliver compelling stories that are relevant and create a high level of employee engagement
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills as well as the journalistic ability to source stories from employees and other parts of the organization
- Ability to work with and influence senior leadership and other stakeholders to develop and use the right communication strategy and channels to ensure a highly engaged organization
