In this role you you will help to shape the organizational culture by supporting the development and implementation of internal communications and employee engagement projects. You will work closely with the Global Division Marketing and Communications Manager and with the Division Group Leadership team, and functionally with the Business Area Internal Communications manager. You will report to the Division Marketing and Communications Manager. The role is open globally, but the location is set in ABB Offices in UK, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic or India.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Own, develop and execute plans aligned to division priorities
- Ensure organizational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders
- Own and drive content and channel strategy across the organization, ensuring relevance across various Division organizations including functions across different levels of the organization
- Formulate an internal messaging house that addresses various focus areas and topics across the organization and aligned to Group, BA, division priorities and objectives
- Own and enhance channel adoption through feedback from stakeholders and analytics (Inside+, Yammer, newsletter, townhall, etc.) including introducing new channels
- Develop strong narrative to engage and align employees to organization purpose, direction and areas of focus - help connect the dots to enable employees understand the big picture
- Amplify key topics, focus areas and leadership messages effectively, in a timely manner with highest levels of quality
- Keep stakeholders including leadership and communications teams as relevant of key initiatives and / or changes
- Be a champion of employee advocacy - develop employee-sourced stories and leverage peer to peer communication
- Leverage external communications by repurposing external content to better inform and engage employees
- Support managers and senior executives to develop and execute their communications plans
- Support internal communication response to crisis situations which affect organizational perception and reputation
- Ensure a proper best practice sharing across Division on internal communications and employee engagement

**Your background**:

- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Communications or Journalism
- 10+ years of experience in internal communications experience in B2B environment (prefer technical or industrial environment) or a large multi-located international organization with experience in a senior role involving engagement with senior leadership and driving global projects
- Ability to mix strategic and creative strengths to deliver impactful communication, programs and campaigns
- Sound project management skills to implement organization-wide programs and initiatives
- Working with multiple business and functional stakeholders including communications teams across the organization to drive strategic and relevant internal communications programs
- Crafting and delivering compelling stories that are relevant and create high level of employee engagement
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills as well as the journalistic ability to source stories from employees and other parts of the organization
- Ability to work with and influence senior leadership and other stakeholders to develop and use the right communication strategy and channels to ensure a highly engaged organization
- Work with managers and leadership to drive employee engagement through a sound communications plan, leveraging various communication platforms
- Manage budgets and resources
- Experience with tools like Teams, Yammer, Bizzabo, etc.
- Fluency in English is essential (both written and spoken)
- Willingness to travel is low
