Barclays Internships
Barclays off-cycle internships are offered on a rolling basis to ambitious students with the aim to provide comprehensive insights into the investment banking and global markets industry. You will find yourself at the heart of the action on the trading floor in our Zurich office and you will gain valuable experience in the Sales & Trading environment, working on anything from live transactions and marketing projects to research and analysis.
Overall purpose of role
Actively support the Credit Sales team in the daily operative business
Interact with Sales/Trading teams, support the Swiss Credit team with primary deals and administrative work as well as settlement and life-cycle management
Work on various exciting and challenging projects to deliver tailor made solutions and trade ideas
Gain insights in the markets division within a global Investment Bank
Work alongside experienced professionals

Person Specification
Bachelor studies completed, ideally with a focus on Financial Markets, Economics or Mathematics
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Strong communication skills in English and if possible in German and/or French
Knowledge of derivatives and financial products and strong interest in the financial markets
Flexibility and the ability to work under pressure
Energetic, motivated and pro-active
Strong analytical and quantitative skills as well as a high attention to details
Ability to work in the fast moving environment of capital markets
