Employment Type: Permanent Contract Duration: Permanent About the team you are joining IATA provides the aviation industry with a range of publications which help airlines, GDS’s, airports and other industry players manage ticket pricing, collection and verification of charges based on legacy systems and processes. These publications are used by airlines to optimize revenue and minimize costs. As the industry modernizes and moves away from these legacy process and systems, there is a need for solutions to automate the management of financial charges, minimize costs, and optimize operations. Reporting to the Director Airlines Airports and Security OCS, the Assistant Director Financial Charges Operational & Compliance Solutions is responsible for the development of financial changes compliance, cost management and operational optimization solutions, supporting next generation of retailing and helping the industry to move to a more dynamic and efficient operating environment. In addition to developing these industry transformational services, you will also be responsible for the product management and operations of the current financial and airport charges publications. You will be responsible for driving excellence in service delivery leading to best in class customer experience, and will work with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the commercial success of the portfolio. What your day would be like - Define, lead and execute the strategic vision for Financial Charges Operational & Compliance Solutions department - Develop and launch solutions and services supporting next generation retailing, charges cost management and flight optimization, exceeding industry needs and expectations - Product Manage the current portfolio of products including TTBS and ACIC, including marketing, setting sales targets, P&L, budgets and forecasts, ensure the revenue and profit targets are met - Manage TTBS & ACIC operations ensuring excellent data quality exceeding user needs - Lead the Tax Governance Group (TGG) and participate in other industry workgroups and forums as appropriate. Establish and lead product user groups leading to development of customer driven product roadmap - Promote Financial Charges Operational & Compliance solutions at events, conferences, and forums to generate awareness and increase the uptake of the products - Manage partners and vendors ensuring optimal outcomes for IATA and its customers - Develop relationships and work with internal stakeholders across the organization ensuring their support for product strategy and execution - Work closely with regional sales teams on product development, education and sales - Help define and implement the Airport Passenger and Security OCS strategy achieving the department goals as a member of the leadership team - Lead, motivate and mentor a team of professionals and develops capabilities through effective talent management, recruitment and succession planning We would love to hear from you if you have the following: - University degree (bachelors or post-graduate) - 5 years experience in product management, product innovation, business development, or marketing/sales activities - Experience in the air transport industry, preferably in the area of ticketing, charges, operational cost management - Understanding of technology, preferably in airline and ticketing and reservations systems - Experience of managing partners and vendors - Possess a customer-centric mindset in professional interactions with customers - Deep commercial outlook understanding strategies to continuously improve the operating results of the product portfolio - Experience of budgetary processes and financial projections - Experience in working in multi-cultural environments - Excellent leadership skills and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to create and develop teams and individuals - Strong communication, relationship management and negotiation skills with experience in closing "C" level deals - Fluency in English, both written and spoken is essential; knowledge of other languages would be an asset - The ability to work in a complex, business critical and high profile commercial and operational environment, as well as in ambiguous situations Travel Required: 5 **Diversity and Inclusion are one of our key priorities and we want to role model it.
