- In our CTS division, we are looking for an ambitious and motivated R2R (Record to Report ) / O2C (Order to Cash) Manager. In this role you will lead the Record to Report (General Ledger) and Order to Cash function of Novartis Ophthalmics AG and the Ophta manufacturing entity Alcon Puurs (Belgium), which includes monthly closing & reporting activities and managing the people and resources. Furthermore, this role ensures accurate reporting of financial information to the stakeholders in accordance to IFRS, statutory and Novartis standards & policies. You will strive for excellence in financial and management reporting, timely and efficiently providing information to all stakeholders, by developing automated solutions in data processing and analysis. And last but not least, you will be a trusted Business partner with designated Local Business Units to ensure that business objectives are met through provision of timely, accurate and relevant financial information. - Major accountabilities:
- Manage and coordinate the team engagement, performance, development and growth. Leader will lead, monitor and supervise a group of employees to achieve goals that contribute to the growth of the organization. Team lead-er will motivate and inspire the team by creating environment that promotes positive communication, encourages bonding of team members, and demonstrate flexibility.
- Lead the general ledger activities and preparation and timely submission of monthly reporting package and month-ly closing activities according to IFRS (FCRS, NPMR) and local legal requirements (Yearly statutory statements based on Swiss and Belgium law). Be responsible for all month end closing accounting and reporting activities for the entities including accruals, provisions, royalties, taxes etc.; coordinate and communicate decisions to stake-holders proactively. This includes close coordination with other departments as customer service team and Supply chain, other FRA processes, technical accounting etc.
- Lead Credit Risk Management and Collection operation.
- Manage audit reporting processes and support compliance for various tax related reports (i.e.: VAT, corporate tax, employee tax); provide necessary data to internal and external authorities.
- Ensure complex accounting matters are addressed, documented and correctly recognized.
- Be accountable to adapt new accounting standards and new requirements according to the Novartis Accounting Manual (NAM) and ensures all processes, policies and procedures are clearly defined, fully documented; Promote a “strong and no exception” control environment. Ensure compliance with Novartis Accounting Manual (NAM), the Novartis Financial Controls Manual (NFCM), regulatory requirements and SOX 404 through maintenance of rele-vant FRA controls, reconciliations, management of documentation (Standard Operating Procedures, workflows), self-assessment and testing
- Lead the stakeholder management, e.g. regular balance sheet reviews with local and divisional stakeholders, FRA connect forums etc.
- Key contact person for external auditors providing data and reports required for group and statutory audits

**Minimum requirements**
- University level degree in Business Administration/ Economics/Finance or Chartered Accountant / Certified expert for Finance and Accounting or similar degree, accompanied with fluency in English (both written and verbal), knowledge of French or German is an additional plus
- at least 5 years of experience in Finance operations, audit, reporting and accounting department
- Strong knowledge and practice of IFRS and Local Statutory rules
- Strong leadership and project management skills (minimum of 2 years with relevant people management role),
- Very strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in large scale industrial multinational environment
- Knowledge of SAP R/3 preferable.
- High Integrity Financial Compliance
