For the Unit “Publishing Operations Center” based in Basel, Switzerland we are looking for a motivated person to join our increasingly agile organization as **Operations Manager "Non Journal" Projects & New Services (80-100%)**: Strategic core of this function is taking responsibility for the smooth overall handling of "Non-Journal Projects" (podcasts, videos, new services, special publications etc.) in terms of content. Receives orders/projects from product owners. Escalates production-related issue and questions to responsible Service Manager. **This multifaceted role includes**: - Preparing matters with the respective requestors until they are ready for realization - Overseeing the handling of non-journal projects through all phases of production - Managing of books, podcasts, videos and other kinds of innovations to come in accordance with the requirements of the individual product - Taking on organizational and administrative tasks, managing projects and coordinating project-specific deadlines as well as meetings - Contact point for the respective product owners in terms of planning, timing and issues related to the production phase - Working closely together with the responsible Service Managers - Point of contact for Service Managers regarding non-journal projects (e.g. conceptual questions or issues on external partner's end) - Creation and close tracking of tickets (internal ticket system) - Monitoring of TATs (Turn Around Times) - Books: organization of post-acceptance-only (incl. PDF-only) content, e.g. Errata, Translations, Author Index, Subject Index etc. **Qualifications, skills, and experience required**: - High school or equivalent school-leaving qualification - University degree or equivalent further education (preferably in languages) - In-depth knowledge of podcasts, Streaming, videos and other kinds of innovations to come in accordance with the requirements of the individual product - Proven project management skills (Resources management, time management Knowledge of agile methods, e.g. use of Kanban boards, or willingness to learn these methods) - Project management software (e.g. MS Teams, Trello, Slack) - Proven MS Office skills (especially Sharepoint, OneDrive, MS Teams) - Problem solving and results oriented, bringing enthusiasm with the ability to work in a team - Fluency in written and spoken English, any other language is an advantage **What we offer**: - Modern offices that contribute to innovation and collaboration - Flexible working hours - Generous remote work arrangements - Centrally located workplace - 40 working hours per week - 5 weeks holiday - A work environment where personal development and responsibility are highly valued - Benefits of the Swiss social system
