To meet the rising popularity of our investment solution and to support our next growth phase, we are looking to strengthen our second line of defense. You will take ownership in this varied risk management role and work closely alongside our Investment Management and Engineering teams, reporting to the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer.
**Your responsibilities**
- Implement, enforce, and optimise our risk management framework
- Design, specify and improve quantitative tools, such as stress testing
- Ensure sound risk modelling and validation, including proper internal documentation
- Carry out second-line investment risk controlling and reporting, e.g. breaches/remediation
- Support our asset management in due diligence of fund management companies
- Critically assess and enhance our IT-driven portfolio management processes and first-line controls
- Manage investment risk compliance enquiries from supervisory authorities, auditors, and custodian banks
- Inform and advise colleagues in risk management matters
- Identify, assess and address operational risk issues
- Keep abreast of changes to regulatory requirements
**Profile**
- Previous work experience in a portfolio/risk management function, preferably with a rule-based investment manager
- Solid knowledge of investment controlling practices and FinSA; beneficial: MiFID II/MiFIR
- Science, maths, engineering, finance or economics degree/diploma; professional qualifications an asset
- High integrity, reliable, diligent, well-organised, proactive, self-motivated
- Strong team player with hands-on mentality and client-oriented approach
- Passionate about putting your advanced quantitative skills into practice
- Keen on furthering and sharing your risk management knowledge
- Affinity for digital business processes as well as quickly finding viable compliant solutions
- Good command of English and German; other languages would be a plus
