About Our Client Our client is a leading international financial institution based in Basel, operating at the heart of global financial stability. They are seeking an experienced Senior Audit Manager to join their Internal Audit team as a subject matter expert in Operational Risk Management and Resiliency. This is a temporary assignment to lead a critical audit engagement, working closely with senior stakeholders and managing a small team of audit professionals. Job Description Lead and execute an audit engagement focused on Operational Risk Management and Resiliency, applying a risk-based methodology. Prepare clear, impactful audit reports for senior management and the Audit Committee, delivering actionable recommendations. Maintain robust audit documentation and conduct detailed analyses to support well-founded conclusions. Ensure compliance with professional standards and the approved audit plan. Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and supervise a team of experienced auditors. The Successful Applicant 10+ years of progressive audit experience in financial services, central banking, or international financial institutions. Proven track record of leading operational risk audit engagements and managing audit teams. Deep understanding of operational risk frameworks, including risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and mitigation strategies. Strong knowledge of the three lines of defence model, operational transformation, compliance, and resiliency. Professional certifications such as CIA, FRM, PRM, or equivalent. Fluency in English (oral and written). Ability to critically assess and challenge operational risk management activities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
