The Hedging Operations team is responsible for all aspects of back-office processes of the hedging portfolio for the market risk transfer business. You will report to the Head of Life Zurich.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Lead and advise the Hedging Operations team, develop and support team member strengths to ensure that the team operates efficiently and effectively
- Ensure that substitution arrangements in the Hedging Operations team are in place
- Supervise the administration of the hedging portfolio
- Monitor daily Trading Desk and Hedge Administrator activities of our derivatives platform, covering documentation, reconciliation, settlement, valuation, accounting and collateral management
- Perform daily cash and collateral management
- Prepare, verify, deliver or confirm reinsurance accounting statements and other regular reports
- Produce and quality assure booking and payment orders
- Manage the monthly, quarterly and year end closing process for the hedging portfolio
- Perform the required outsourcing controls

**Your profile**:

- University degree in accounting, banking, economics, insurance or a related field
- 6+ years’ experience in life insurance, reinsurance, investment banking, consultancy or related industries with a focus on accounting
- Sound knowledge of derivative instruments
- Experience of derivative life-cycle management
- Solid technical, analytical and organisational skills
- Strong interpersonal and solid project management skills
- Ability to work independently, reliably and consistently
- Proactive and innovative in solving problems
- Fluent spoken and written business English, German an advantage
