**About** the role**:

- BP&A: Coordinate and lead the BP&A processes for the Finance GSC, Oncology & ES SM organization
- Business Excellence / Projects: Coordinate & lead global business cases and excellence/ capability building initiatives
- SOX Compliance: Ensure policy implementation and effective control for the Finance GSC, Oncology & ES SM organization.

**How you will contribute**:

- BP&A
- Planning and Analysis Mgtm (Coordinate finance & business teams, provide guidance, propose target allocation, consolidation, prepare results and present as needed) for OncESSM and GSC
- Oversees the global Oncology ES SM annual standard costing process. Analysis of results and alignment with costing team.
- Monthly Close Reporting: Coordinate the Oncology & ES SM monthly reporting, prepare the global results incl. R&O. Consolidation of GMS reporting requirements
- Influences decision making and strategy implementation across the ES SM regions and GSC through strategic analysis and global business cases for e.g. Make or Buy, CMO selection strategy, OpU COGS analysis,
- Global finance contact for related Quality organization and oversight of overall Project spend.
- Business Excellence
- Strategic execution of OpU/ ES CoE/ GSC financial requirements and related Decision Management (PAR model, presentations for MSC,)
- Drive OpU/ Function wide Analytics (product insight, strategy input, network related)
- Support of GMS Product Teams and related governance requirements
- Team and Business Partner Capability building (e.g. new digital skills)
- Internal and external benchmarks, initiate / Support best practice sharing, process/system improvements & cost saving initiatives
- Drive automation & standardization ideas across OpU finance teams
- Projects & Initiatives
- Coordinates and supports financial projects and program Agile for GMS Finance and GSC, Oncology & ES SM.
- Support & coordinate dashboard initiatives with regards to financial aspects (e.g. to improve financial modelling and financial decision makings)
- Support Digital Finance and Compliance Initiatives (e.g. roll out new policies)
- Coordinate OpU wide finance trainings (e.g. finance for non-finance trainings)
- SOX Compliance
- Oversees the Internal Control and SOX compliance execution and quarterly reporting.
- Partners with Global Finance and coordinate complex accounting & reporting implementations.

**_ DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS _**

**Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise**
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing accounting, esp. for activities at external manufacturers. Solid understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply chain through all process steps from raw material to finished goods.
- Strong knowledge of internal controls and financial reporting under IFRS and US-GAAP (SOX).
- Strong knowledge of financial business case modeling, scenario planning and financial business partnering tools/approaches.

**Leadership**
- Influence the respective leadership teams and organizations outside the GSC, Oncology & ES SM organization to drive global business cases, strategic choices and initiatives
- Position will need to work closely and influence/guide with senior GMS stakeholders / business
- and finance partners.
- Position will need to influence regions to achieve Plan/MYC targets and suggest ideas for making trade-off decisions to help achieve financial goals when unexpected expenses/variances occur.

**Decision-making and Autonomy**
- Position will be expected to work independently with mínimal oversight.
- Position will be expected to provide guidance to business partners / finance teams and drive the right decisions to ensure the OpU achieves it targets.

**Interaction**
- Will interact extensively with business and finance leaders inside and outside the organization. Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) will be important to interact with colleagues across the world.
- Will serve as a “back-up” to the Head of Finance GSC, Oncology & ES SM and occasionally present financial information to the OpU Leadership Team.

**Innovation**
- Position will require the ability to question the status quo and to come up with more efficient and effective ways to execute the related financial processes.
- Potential to support the GMS Finance Transformation process and overarching projects.

**Complexity**
- Extremely complex and broad business environment (External Supply / Oncology / GSC).

**What you bring to Takeda**:

- Master Degree in BA, Accounting or Finance and 10 or more years of relevant experience
- MBA and CPA (or equivalent) is a plus
- Experience influencing Global business partners
- Strong business acumen and ability to manage multiple projects
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills (need intellectual “curiosity”)
- Knowledge of Sox controls and GAAP accounting principles, especially manufacturing accounting
- Ability to effectively influence and drive consensus across Global cross functional teams and ca
