Finance Lead, Business Planning Analysis

**About** the role**: - Deliver performance objectives in line with Takeda’s PTRB priorities and drive change initiatives to achieve these. - Partners with the business and GSM sites as a trusted advisor utilizing finance acumen, functional expertise, design thinking, and enterprise mindset. - Builds a deep understanding of the business and works with a continuous improvement approach in seeking efficiencies, which are sustainable and within the internal controls framework. - Supports combining the overall company strategy and Opu financial plans, monitoring performance, and actively engaging and challenging the business. Articulating accurate and transparent storylines for Opu and total GMS leadership. - Acts as a connector, gateway, and solution architect for Market Access sites, liaising with other functional counterparts (TBS, P&R, Global Costing, Supply chain) in addressing opportunities and issues proactively and collaboratively. **How you will contribute**: - Leads the overall consolidated OpU and GSM site in the planning process yearly Plan, Mid Year commitment (MYC), and long-range plans for GSM Opu, in alignment with the company-wide process, in collaboration with the business performance lead. - Support site reviews, actively ask questions and provoke discussion until having the full level of comfort with the site financials in collaboration with the business performance lead. - Drive productivity across all GSM sites by ensuring AGILE initiatives translate to productivity gains and resource planning is in line with demand, keeping a patient focus at all times. - Extend relationship with Global Capex in support of GSM site finance and global finance teams. Improved allocation of CAPEX spending versus current maintenance spending. - Actively engage and collaborate with the Digital Finance team in designing and implementing global solutions harnessing best in class local site solutions and copying with pride globally. - Collaborate across all GMS regions and OpUs to align and share best-in-class learnings and demonstrate the significant benefits they offer in order to strive for globally standardised processes. - Leads the mission of business partnering by providing coaching and mentoring to market access finance teams. Elimination of non-value adding activities in preparation for TBS transfer and post TBS improvements. - Ensures financial policies and procedures are compliant with local laws and regulations as well as being compliant with Takeda SOP’s. - Excellent at basic analytics, providing insights and interpretations, proposing ad-hoc investigations and action plans. **_ DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS - ** **Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise** - Previous Site Finance Head Experience leading a finance team. - Business and Finance acumen with the ability to teach others, with or without a finance background. - Extensive finance expertise and experience to ensure financial compliance (SOX). - Extensive Planning and reporting experience at all levels. **Skills and Leadership Capabilities** - Strong business partnering and leadership skills with the ability to challenge performance, drive robust business decisions through sound financial analysis, questioning and problem-solving mindset, engage and influences skills on senior leader level. - Demonstrate leadership across functional teams/sites and ability to drive finance excellence - Strong strategic and analytical skills, able to simplify complex information to provide the business with relevant analyses to support effective decision-making. - Strong people development and self-reflection skills, sponsoring and leading individual development with a best in class approach - Strong change management skills, able to effectively communicate and actively listen to support the sites embracing change through the ability to persuade and influence others. **Decision-making and Autonomy** - Full autonomy to coordinate and support MRP/MYC planning cycles. - Able to escalate a possible issue or risk, in-time to be addressed within the team **Interaction** - Local Site Finance Directors. - Local Site Directors. - Regional leadership team. - Other Opu and Region Finance Heads. - Interaction at SVP level. **Innovation** - Suggestions for the improvement of the finance process are expected together with implementation. - Keep up to date with finance digital trends and learn new technologies to enhance capabilities. **Complexity** - Different cultures and different time zones - Ability to converse with both finance and non-finance personnel - Ability to converse with peers and senior management. **What you bring to Takeda**: - Bachelor Degree Accounting, Economics or equivalent. - CIMA Qualified with >10 Years post qualification experience. - Fluent in written and spoken English at the business level - Manufacturing finance experience at both site and regional level essential - Pharmaceutical knowledge and experience is beneficial **More about us**:
