- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in business development, partnerships, sales, management consulting, investment banking, strategy, or operations.
- Ability to read and write in English and German fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

- Experience in relationships management within the EMEA financial and payment sector.
- Experience with banking and/or payment industry, Google Pay, and/or mobile payments.
- Excellent sales and project management skills.

**About the job**:
As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you'll open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions and evaluate/develop business opportunities. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide thought leadership and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You are comfortable escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management. You'll work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that support our online advertising business.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing new and existing partnerships with critical partners to promote Google Pay and Wallet across several verticals (e.g., Financial Services, Retail, Travel, etc.). You will be responsible for establishing and managing the partnerships end-to-end, from initiating contact to negotiating legal agreements and executing the integration plan. You’ll also work closely with the global cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, gTech partners, Legal department, local Large Customer Sales, and Cloud teams to support launch and growth of our existing and new products in EMEA markets.

Google’s Global Partnerships team powers extraordinary user experiences through partnerships that solve users’ needs, advance our partners’ goals, and further Google’s mission. Our team provides meaningful solutions — from helping publishers and developers grow their businesses through monetization solutions, to helping our long-term partners anticipate and navigate change in a way that delivers economic and reputational value. We build and distribute products through partnerships across a multitude of product areas, including Ads, Search & Assistant, Geo, Platforms & Ecosystems, Devices & Services, Health, Retail, Payments, Next Billion Users, and more. We collaborate across Google, ensuring a coordinated approach when engaging with our most complex and strategic partners.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and manage direct relationships and drive executive-level engagement with key partners across the payments ecosystem (e.g., financial institutions, networks, regulators, wallet partners) on core Google payments initiatives.
- Drive partner engagement strategy and execution for the market, including the development of go-to-market documentation in collaboration with key internal stakeholders. Develop, negotiate, and execute agreements with partners often under time pressure.
- Identify and maintain pipelines and tracking documents, communicate key updates to leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Ensure that partners are mobilizing around actual deployments/implementations and once live, engage with partners to optimize implementations, and drive growth.
- Drive cross-functional engagement with teams including Strategy, Finance, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations in order to deliver on key product area objectives
