**BFS Transformation and Architecture Office (BFS TAO)**

BFS TAO is the group responsible for driving emerging technologies across leading financial services clients of Cognizant, nurturing and delivering a holistic competency, focusing on technology and business transformation initiatives of our clients working with senior client stakeholders, Cognizant internal service lines and industry partners. This is a niche group of Enterprise and Solution Architects across the globe actively providing solutions on Architecture, Design and Technology Road map for leading financial services providers.

**The Role**

This job opportunity will fulfil the role of Core Banking and Payments Enterprise Architect. This is an anchor role to drive business growth - working closely with commercial and delivery leadership in the region, bringing domain aligned technology thought leadership in creating the mindshare, identifying, and qualifying opportunities and positioning with clients and prospects.

You are also expected to build the team of banking and payments domain aligned solution architects to fulfil demand and deepen client engagements.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Domain aligned technology thought leadership - emerging technology trends and adoption, impact on the business and future directions, approaches for addressing key industry pain points such as technology modernization, engineering, and automation focus
- Engagement in key client / prospect conversions bringing Cognizant point of view, understanding, and translating client business and technology context to solution ideas and value propositions
- Drive innovation in ideating, qualifying, and elaborating industry aligned repeatable solutions ideas, value proposition, and frameworks / reference models
- Support commercial teams in RFX, proactive proposals and business development activities in this domain
- Anchor end to end solution for large complex pursuits, involving customer, internal and partner stakeholders. Steer win themes, solution considerations and supporting financial construct for complex deals through effective solution design and clearly articulated architecture guiding principles
- Build a reputation as a trusted partner who understands the business and collaborates to deliver on commitments and drive business result, supporting customers in their technology roadmap, Digital Journey and share industry views
- Build a team of domain aligned solution architects

**Qualifications & Experience**
- 15+ years of experience in banking and financial services industry with exposure and expertise across core banking, cards and payments schemes, or market infrastructure / payment rails as enterprise architect, technology leader, consultant, or equivalent role focusing on architecting solutions of strategic importance to respective organizations
- Track record as technology consultant, enterprise architect aligned to core banking and payments functions in leading financial services firms, technology consulting firms
- Established credential as thought leader in the banking and payments space - experience in one or more of the areas across retail banking - lending and deposits, corporate banking, open banking / open finance, credit cards - issuance, acquisition, transaction processing, instant / faster payments, ACH, RTGS, International payments; having architected, designed, and led transformation for leading market players
- Domain aligned technology leadership in driving business outcomes with technology leverage - across modernization, new business, operations, and technology operating models
- Established credentials in providing thought leadership such as thought leadership papers, developed solution ideas, addressing industry pain points, participation in industry forums, etc.
- Understanding of data architecture and analytics, data democratization, leveraging the power of data in context of banking and payments services
- Knowledge, understanding point of view on technology trends across AI / ML, Cloud, Intelligent Process Automation, Engineering practice; articulation of business impacts on banking and paym
