the Automotive and New Mobility portfolio facilitates global leaders collaboration for advancing sustainable, resilient and smart new ecosystems that support a growing demand for seamless road movement of people and things. We are seeking a Lead to join the team leading this important work.
Reporting lines and interactions
The Community Lead, Automotive and New Mobility, will report to the Automotive Industry Manager.
The Community Lead will also work closely with members of the global Automotive team, the Mobility Platform and colleagues in the Centre for Global Industries, and externally with a broad range of project stakeholders, including companies, governments, research institutions and civil society organizations.
Breakdown of main responsibilities
- _ Communities management:_ Identify, engage and manage the collaboration of the most relevant stakeholders to mobilize action around common priorities, driving consensus-building and leading the community to creative and mutually beneficial approaches; create a deep understanding of individual priorities and trust across stakeholders around a common agenda, which includes the delivery of multiple thematic workshops and virtual community meetings; facilitates large working groups and steering committee meetings
- _ Event Programme Development:_ Design, develop and deliver in-person and virtual community events while working with internal and external stakeholders and tools.
- _ Initiatives management:_ Manage existing initiatives and projects allocated, incubate and develop work streams in new mobility business models and finance transition gaps to deliver on a set of long
- and short-term objectives, while overseeing the work and controlling the budget.
- _ Subject Matter Expertise:_ Have a solid grasp on key trends, issues and key stakeholders in automotive. Able to communicate to senior level executives and write reports, op-eds and blogs on the matter.
- _ Community Development and Engagement:_ _Work closely with industry Manager and across the Forum’s platform to on-board and offer strategic engagement for new ‘Platform Partners’ relevant for propelling growth in the automotive and new mobility ecosystem.
- Delivery of outcomes assigned and/or initiated to standards of excellence and against goals, including quality of the community and impact.
- Positive feedback from external and internal stakeholders on the quality and impact of the platform curation.
- Ability to work effectively with community members, ensuring that they are engaged in the Forum’s work and benefit from timely communication and efficient coordination.
- Effective planning and facilitation of sessions and workshops.
- Collaboration with Centre for Global Industries teams and wider Forum colleagues.
Preferred requirements and experience
- Masters (or higher) degree in Public Policy Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or similar fields
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant full-time professional experience, ideally across public and private sectors and multiple geographies, and/or in management consulting, and/or in project management
- Strategy, operations, policy, marketing or consultancy experience in the mobility industry, preferably automotive
- Proven ability to deliver complex projects that require analysis, stakeholder management and strategic planning
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable presenting to senior executives, highly service-oriented and a flexible team player
- Adaptable and resilient; able to thrive in an ambiguous and dynamic environment
- Able to take initiative and drive work largely independently
- Team spirit - willingness to identify as part of the team and work collaboratively in support of shared team and Forum goals
- Outstanding command of written and spoken English; knowledge of other languages would be an asset
