Novocure is a global publicly-traded commercial-stage oncology company developing a profoundly different cancer treatment therapy called tumor treating fields (TTFields) for patients with solid tumors. TTFields therapy is a non-invasive, novel, antimitotic treatment modality which utilizes proprietary technology attempting to slow or reverse tumor progression by inducing tumor cell death. Novocure's commercialized product, Optune, is approved for the treatment of adult patients with glioblastoma (GBM) in the USA, Europe and Israel. Novocure has ongoing or completed clinical trials and is further expanding its efforts into several other solid tumor indications - non-small cell lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, ovarian cancer and other types of solid cancers.

Manager, Legal Counsel Switzerland

In this position, you will deal with a wide variety of national and international legal matters, including providing employment, contract and corporate governance advice, amongst others. You need to be able to learn, assimilate and process information quickly to be successful in this role and therefore it would suit best to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

**Your responsibilities**:

- As legal counsel, you will be the contact person for legal advice in regards to a variety of topics, including employment, commercial and corporate law. You will provide legal services to a number of in-house clients, demonstrating experience in general legal matters.
- Your daily tasks will include advising various international departments (e.g. Supply Chain / Procurement) on contract review, current legal issues as well as future projects.
- Contract review will include the need to prepare, negotiate and review a wide variety of contracts including commercial agreements, supply chain and distribution agreements, research and development agreements, consulting agreements, software licenses, confidentiality agreements, and others.
- You will also support our HR department in Switzerland and Germany with all legal matters relating to employees.
- In addition, you will assist with Swiss (and EU) Corporate Governance, taking on with various aspects of corporate secretarial work.

**Your profile**:

- Law degree and strong knowledge of Swiss and/or German law
- You have more than 2 years of experience as a corporate/commercial attorney, preferably in a midsize to large law firm or in-house
- When dealing with cross-functional colleagues in the organization, you work confidently, proactively and assertively with a high level of independence
- You can exercise good judgment under pressure and have the ability to adapt and change in a shifting environment
- You have an excellent command of English and German, both written and spoken (additionally, French language skills are a benefit)
