Head of HR

This position includes overall responsibility for systems, processes and execution for Emerald’s HR function. You will be reporting to the CEO and are responsible for the following tasks:

- As a competent HR expert, you are responsible for designing an optimal life cycle for our employees
- You improve and maintain efficient and effective HR processes
- You design and implement appropriate HR concepts and initiatives (e.g. talent management, training, working world 4.0, compensation, employer branding etc.)
- You further develop the existing performance evaluation framework
- You prepare budgets for all sites regarding training, recruitment and employee events
- You are responsible for the professional and innovative recruitment of all job profiles and a high level of employer attractiveness
- You conduct employee consultations, determining the social climate, making proposals and taking the necessary measures
- You advise on all employee and labor relations issues and HR-related policies
- You have experience in planning, controlling and monitoring central HR KPIs
- You actively contribute to a positive corporate culture and high employee satisfaction
- You constantly benchmark remuneration with the market and with our competitors

Required skills and qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in economics with focus on HRM or equivalent education, e.g. HR Manager with Federal Diploma (FA)
- Extensive experience as a generalist and HRBP with experience in all major issues within the field, ideally within a venture capital/private equity or consulting firm
- Experience in the creation and implementation of HR concepts and initiatives that have measurably delivered to organizational goals
- Strong implementation and communication skills and high social competence
- Trusted sparring partner for and proactive support of the CEO on all HR and organizational development issues
- Confident personality with hands-on mentality, persuasiveness and assertiveness, trustworthy, proactive and self-motivated team player
- Authentic and passionate about making the world a better and more sustainable place
- Fluent in English and German
