The newly established Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) department in **State Street Bank International (SSBI) GmbH** is looking for a **Sustainability Strategy Manager (M/F/d) Vice President **with immediate effect

Your Job
- The Sustainability Strategy Manager will report to the SSBI Head of ESG and have responsibility for supporting the design and implementation of a sustainability strategy inline with regulatory and industry expectations
- Experience in sustainability strategy, policy and framework rollout
- Work closely with SSBI businesses and support functions to integrate the Sustainability Framework
- Assist in Audit, Compliance and Regulatory exams (front to back for SSBI)
- Support the sustainability governance structure rollout and integration across SSBI, including support the preparation of Sustainability Committee material preparation
- Design, rollout and deliver internal sustainability training for SSBI employees and clients as we support our clients in transitioning to net zero etc
- Provide guidance to SSBIs businesses and functions in interpreting and integrating regulatory requirements, including advising SSBI functions in integrating the ECB Climate and Environmental Risks 13 Expectations
- Provide effective challenge on SSBIs sustainability strategy, working closely with SSBT ESG, business and support functions
- Develop qualitative and quantitative monitoring and reporting (including KPIs) of sustainability risks
- Collaborate with SSBT ESG and Climate Impact teams in the preparation of reporting and disclosure documents (e.g., SASB, TCFD, research reports, ESG Report, SEC disclosures)
- Understanding the regulatory demands of legal entities and delivering to these expectations
- Acts as the go to person in relation to the SSBI Sustainability Framework
- Work closely with Reseaech team on Sustainability related thought leadership papers
- Experience in integrating Sustainability risk into risk appetite and and risk management processes
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the process, products, trends and developments within the industries and sectors and themes researched from an ESG perspective

Your Profile
- Tangible financial services with a minimum of 5 years in the sustainability industry with a focus on regulatory methodology development
- Collective capabilities for leadership, including leading teams, giving feedback, facilitating meetings, and coaching and mentoring
- Be a recognised thought leader within the sustainable investment environment
- Provide leadership within the Sustainability space and have a genuine interest in evolving Sustainability space
- Strong critical thinking and demonstrated ability to manage complexity and ambiguity in a start up environment
- A strategic mindset with an eye for commercial development and the ability to credibly opine on sustainability frameworks
- A firm understanding of industry standards, coalitions, and regulatory developments. Able to pragmatically incorporate these developments into strategy and frameworks
