**Strategy Manager, Process Automation (PA)**:

The Strategy Manager leads the strategy projects and critical workstreams of PA-wide strategic importance, thus making a strong contribution to shaping our future direction within our complex and dynamic operating environment. This is an Assistant Vice President level role that offers the opportunity to develop into a divisional or other position in ABB, typically after 2-4 years. The Business Area team is located at the exciting intersection between ABB group and our operating divisions, hence engaging in both typical corporate strategy activities (portfolio, M&A, strategy process, sustainability, etc.) and deploying the full business strategy toolkit. The role reports to the Head of Strategy and Business Development for Process Automation.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Lead and scope various projects / workstreams of strategic importance to PA and divisions - delivering high quality results against often tight deadlines
- Condense and break down complex questions into pragmatic analytical frameworks and develop decision / implementation-ready solutions
- Collaborate seamlessly with PA’s divisions, functions and ABB corporate - often structuring unchartered territory and providing project drumbeat
- Prepare high-impact documents enabling effective decision making in senior and executive management meetings
- Shape PA’s sustainability agenda and the lead implementation of the ABB sustainability program in PA; depending on background, represent PA at the ABB sustainability leadership council
- Lead PA’s strategic planning process on a day-to-day basis
- Lead PA-level strategic intelligence

**Your background**:

- Approx. 8 years relevant work experience, e.g. as typically found at the level of an experienced / senior consultant or project / case team leader from a top-tier strategic consultancy
- Passion for tackling complex and unstructured problems, high level of curiosity, eagerness to learn and initiate engagement with others
- Ability to prioritize and make tradeoffs in a strategic, semi-quantitative environment with only moderate support from supervisor
- Strong project-management skills - must have led critical workstreams in strategy development and implementation projects in the past; ability to effectively guide, leverage and challenge project teams across levels, functions, and regions, without formal reporting relationships
- Excellent written (text and visuals) and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to thrive in international and increasingly digital / remote work environment
- Experience in commercial due diligence and other strategic aspects of portfolio management and M&A is a plus
