Assistant Production Manager

The performance of today’s lithium ion batteries (LIBs) is not where it should be. This is why Battrion has developed a novel fabrication technology for the production of LIBs. By changing the orientation of the graphite particles that go into the negative electrode, we can significantly increase the charge and discharge speeds. On top of that, we can make the production of LIBs more sustainable.
We are a young and dynamic ETH spinoff that has the goal of making better, more sustainable batteries. To help bring our technology to the market, we are looking for an Assistant Production Manager.
Tasks
- Reporting to the EVP Manufacturing, you will support and optimize the manufacturing processes for electrode fabrication for lithium-ion batteries
- Lead and support the Manufacturing Team activities
- Organize production schedules and resources
- Ensure that quality is monitored and meets defined standards
- Organize the routine cleaning, maintenance, and repair of production equipment
- Work with the safety officer to ensure that health and safety regulations are met
- Liaise with project managers, process engineers, marketing and sales staff
- Manage material supply chain
**Requirements**:
- 3 to 5 years of direct experience in supervising/leading production activities, preferably (but not restricted to) any of the following fields: battery manufacturing, coating, print or paper, converting industry (roll-to-roll), chemical manufacturing, food manufacturing and processing
- Excellent communication skills in English (German favorable, but not required)
- Ability to adapt quickly to new requirements, machines, and processes
- Rigorous commitment to improve processes and meet quality standards
- Proven ability to effectively lead high-performance team
