Job Purpose

The Country Lead for the Switzerland/ Austria plays a pivotal role in maximizing profitability and revenue within the region by focusing on tender and pricing activities, alongside traditional sales and distribution operations. The primary objective is to drive efficient sales operations, optimize market access strategies and enhance commercial capabilities to ensure sustained growth and market competitiveness within the designated regions. Oversight role of Swiss entities.

You will lead the strategy for their markets and make sure tactics are right, and make customer engagements.

Full account of P&L

Pricing negotiations with health authorities

Reimbursements - so all market aspects

Pricing reviews etc forecast, business cases, and rationale

Responsibilities

Commercial Operations Optimization
- Oversee and streamline commercial operations across the designated regions, focusing on

enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring seamless execution of sales strategies and initiatives.
- Strategic portfolio focus across various therapeutic areas and optimisation of activities to mínimally achieve annual sales targets and commercial KPIs.
- Lead short and long-term forecasts and budgets.

Strategic Pricing Management
- Develop and implement comprehensive pricing strategies tailored to the dynamics of the

Switzerland/ Austria markets, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
- Lead pricing, rebates and reimbursement processes and maintain oversight, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external partners

Market Access Strategy Enhancement
- Analyze market access challenges and opportunities within the Switzerland/ Austria markets with monitoring and analysis of evolution of the competitve environment, legislative changes, maximizing access for patients
- Develop and execute strategies to optimize market access, including establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and influencers in the region, including wholesalers, hospitals, pharmacists, physicians, health authorities, and other institutions.

People Management and Performance Improvement
- Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional colleagues, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support and develop team members where required to ensure they have the appropriate skills knowledge and expertise for the current and future success of the business.
- Address team issues in a proactive and constructive manner to ensure uninterrupted business operations and supporting personal development.

General
- Ensure compliance with statutory duties, regulation and legislation. Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal, Code of Business Ethics, environmental policies and general duty of care.
- When appropriate to the function create, revise and maintain up to date Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure compliance with GxP.
- Lead or contribute to projects as required.
- Understand the nature, operation and strategy of the organisation and the network of IAC’s and continuously drive for improvement.

Key skills and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
- At least 5 - 8 years of experience in a Commercial or similar management position in multinational companies, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven track record in commercial operations management within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team and collaborate effectively with cross-regional and cross functional teams and external stakeholders, ensuring compliant undertaking of business activities.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management mindset, with a focus on driving results and achieving objectives.
- Ability to work independently on both strategic and operative tasks, with self motivation and
