We are seeking a Director Europe, Marketing & Communications professional to join us.
**Your opportunity**
Sompo International has ambitious growth plans. A key part of this growth strategy is the build out of our
operations, teams and product offering across Europe.
To support this effort, we’re looking for an experienced Marketing & Communications professional who can
hit the ground running to build our brand visibility, presence and marketing communications across the
Continent. You will collaborate with stakeholders across Europe and the broader organisation as well as
external agencies to achieve success.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, growing organization and who will
be energized by the opportunity to make a material impact. You will report to the Vice President, Marketing
& Communications International and Global Inclusive Diversity.
**Responsibilities include:
- **
Develop and execute an effective and integrated Marketing & Communications strategy and tactics that
supports the company’s European business expansion efforts and aligns with business unit and global
objectives.Partner with local business leaders and the Head of Distribution Europe to build your strategy and advise
and support the different business stakeholders across the region on marketing & communications
efforts.Execute the strategy with innovative, cost-effective and measurable integrated campaigns that tell the
Sompo story, promote talent/expertise, launch or promote different products, teams and capabilities
using the full mix of communications and marketing tools and channels, such as thought leadership,
media/social media, events, marketing materials and communications, advertising, digital marketing,Direct, guide and collaborate with our PR agency to build, develop and maintain relationships with key
insurance trades and business media to generate earned media and deliver comprehensive
communications across channels.Contribute to global Marketing & Communications efforts as required.
**Desired Skills & Experience**:
Strong and demonstrated expertise in developing and delivering integrated marketing and
communications strategies.Ability to plan, collaborate and execute across communications and marketing disciplines including digital
and content marketing, events and sponsorships, as well as driving traditional and social media.Entrepreneurial spirit; roll-up your sleeves approach.Strong understanding of commercial re/insurance business with particular focus across Europe.Strategic thinking, effective prioritization and pragmatic tactical focus.English, German and Spanish speaker. Any other languages a plus.Relationship-builder with demonstrable experience in influencing and building credibility.Experience of developing and managing strong and complex relationships across a matrix organization
and externally with multiple stakeholders.
