Under the World Economic Forum’s Platform for Shaping the Future of Mobility, the Automotive and New Mobility portfolio of initiatives and projects seek to advance clean, inclusive, and safe movement of goods and people through the acceleration of synergic innovative solutions and supportive policy environments in the automotive industry and adjunct sectors. It provides a platform for government, civil society, academia, and business leaders to work together to understand, co-design and pilot policies to positively impact the automotive industry and the future of mobility.

Moving Indonesia is a new initiative under our Automotive and New Mobility portfolio. Moving Indonesia will build a national network of business and policy leaders, and third-sector actors to accelerate the country’s transition to clean mobility and implement our global automotive value chains and mobility integration work locally.

Reporting Lines & Interactions

The Project Lead, Moving Indonesia will report to the Lead, Moving India and Emerging Markets and will work closely with the Automotive and New Mobility Portfolio team and its Head.

The Project Lead will also work closely with members of the Mobility team, and externally with a broad range of project stakeholders, including companies, governments, research institutions and civil society organizations.

Breakdown of main responsibilities- Project planning and management - Planning and delivery of the Moving Indonesia initiative will be the primary responsibility of the Project Lead. The Lead will ensure that pre-set deliverables are achieved in an impactful manner, identify, and tap into emerging opportunities for partnership and scaling, and liaise with the external Funders on a regular basis.- Team management - The project will be supported by Project Fellows, i.e., experts sponsored by our Partner businesses. The Project Lead will support and manage time commitment from Project Fellows to achieve maximum value for the initiative.- Stakeholder management: Identify, engage and manage the collaboration of the most relevant stakeholders to mobilize action around common priorities, drive consensus-building and lead the community to creative and mutually beneficial approaches; create a deep understanding of individual priorities and trust across stakeholders around a common agenda, which includes the delivery of multiple thematic workshops and virtual community meetings; facilitates large working groups and steering committee meeting.- Event programme development: Design, develop and deliver in-person and virtual community events while working with internal stakeholders as well as external stakeholders at the CEO / ministerial level.-
- Business development and engagement: Work closely with Emerging Markets Lead and internal stakeholders to on-board and offer strategic engagement for new business partners relevant for our portfolio of Automotive and New Mobility initiatives.- Project planning and delivery to standards of excellence and against goals, including quality of the initiative and its impact.- Effective engagement of internal and external stakeholders and positive feedback from them on the quality and impact of the initiative.- Ability to work effectively with community members, ensuring that they are engaged in the Forum’s work and benefit from timely communication and efficient coordination.- Effective planning and facilitation of sessions and workshops.- Collaboration with Mobility teams and wider Forum colleagues.

Preferred Requirements and Experience- Broad intellectual background, with a master’s degree from a globally recognized institution.- A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant full-time professional experience, ideally across public and private sectors and/or in management consulting or project management in Indonesia or multiple geographies. Experience in the mobility industry, sustainability, foundations, public-private partnerships, automotive and transport is preferred.- Proven ability to deliver complex projects that require analysis, stakeholder management and strategic planning.- Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills- Comfortable presenting to senior executives, highly service-oriented and a flexible team player.- Adaptable and resilient; able to thrive in an ambiguous and dynamic environment- Able to take initiative and drive work largely independently.- Team spirit - willingness to identify as part of the team and work collaboratively in support of shared team and Forum goals.- Outstanding command of written and spoken English; knowledge of Ind
